The Sunday map: planning a year of learning

One hour, one sheet of paper, four quarters.

AOAmara Okoye · 5 min read

Most of us have a long list of things we'd like to learn 'one day'. The Sunday map turns that list into a plan without making it a chore.

Take one sheet of paper and divide it into four quarters, one for each season of the year. In each, write one thing you'd like to learn and one small way to start, like a book, a class or a friend who knows how.

Revisit the map on the first Sunday of each season. Adjust freely, since plans are meant to change. The point is a direction, not a contract.

Try this week
  1. Block one hour this Sunday for your map.
  2. Choose one learning goal per quarter and one first step for each.
  3. Put a reminder in your calendar for the next season's check-in.
